Ring Width Questions

Buy Rings Direct offers wedding rings in 2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8mm widths.

What width should I choose?

Women
If you have an engagement ring, you should choose your wedding ring to flatter its proportions. A wedding ring which matches the width and cross section of the shank (i.e. the band) of the engagement ring looks good and helps make the two rings look like a set. Alternatively, a wedding ring width chosen to match the width of the largest stone (or any width inbetween) in an engagement ring also looks good. If you have no engagement ring, then your choice is wider. We recommend that you cut out some strips of paper of varying widths and wrap them around your finger to help you visualise wedding rings of different widths.

Men
The average male finger suits a wedding ring of between 5-7mm. Again, we recommend that you cut out some strips of paper of varying widths and wrap them around your finger to help you visualise wedding rings of different widths.
