Ring Finishes Questions
Wedding rings are available from Buy Rings Direct in a choice of two finishes: Matt or Polished. These are both surface finishes which will change with time.
Matt finish
A matt finish will become shinier with wear. Every ring supplied by buyringsdirect with a matt finish comes with a small gritty matt block which will restore the finish to the ring when rubbed lightly on the surface.
If you would prefer our team of experienced jewellers to refinish your ring for you, you can post it back to us and for a charge of £4.50 plus £4.95 postage and packaging, we will re-matt it for you.
Polished finish
Over time, with wear, small scratches will appear on a polished finish, regardless of the type of metal chosen. If you would like our team of experienced jewellers to polish your ring for you, you can post it back to us and for a charge of £4.50 plus £4.95 postage and packaging, we will restore the original polished finish.
How much does it cost to have the ring matt finished?
There is no extra charge when ordering your ring.
